Providing education for 130 children in the mountains of haiti through our Teacher sponsorships and feeding program
In 2018, we launched our first Chasing Eden School deep in the mountains of Figaro, Haiti where the children would otherwise have no access to education. We are renting a small space for now but we have purchase land and have started building our own building that we can expand each year as the children grow. The rented space is currently serving 8 classrooms from kindergarten to 5th grade. We started a feeding program in 2018; however, COVID has temporarily halted our feeding program. We hope to start this back up as soon as possible. Our classrooms are growing so fast, we are starting with temporary structures and then adding on for a permanent structure. Each year we will add classes until 12th grade and plan to include a trade school for those attending 9th-12th grade. The new school building will also serve as a church to the local community. By sponsoring these teachers and staff we can fill the classrooms with children who are eager to learn at no cost to the children or their parents and guardians.
